Yep, composting. That place where you put certain stuff to rot and make stuff good for your garden. The ultimate in recycling. Amendments are the other things you add to your soil to make it better.

Dwarf / Compact Veggies
Sometimes dwarf and compact veggies require different care. Many people, who live in apartments, etc, just don't have the room for a full blown garden, and containers are the only way they can join in on the fun. Either way, here's a place to discuss them.

System Designs
There are various designs, and reasons behind those designs. Which is best for you? Many times, it comes down to whether you can build it or afford to buy it. This stuff isn't cheap, but if you can build it, you can have several nice systems for the price of one commercial system

Diseases
Most plants can develop the same diseases in a hydro system as they can in dirt, but they can also display deficiencies and over doses much faster. Thankfully, they usually will recover much faster, if you catch them in time.

Nutrients
When you use water as the growth medium for all your plants, you have to provide all nutrients, including the micro nutrients / trace minerals. Do you make your own, or do you buy? Organic or chemical?

Plants
Most plants can be grown hydroponically, and there are some that can't. I have heard of people growing potatoes by allowing the tubers to grow on a mat of straw rather than in the nutrients. Also, hydroponics, like the Internet, has benefitted from the seedier side of humanity. Let's not discuss that.
